“Plataneras” is an ongoing project which I started last summer, where I immersed myself in different banana plantations of Tenerife, documenting what is one of the trade marks of the Canary Islands. This sector has been undergoing various challenges, one of the most important being lack of young workforce, as the younger generation is leaving the archipelago seeking for better opportunities.
