This is an ongoing self-portraiture project exploring in a performative way my connection to my homeland, Tenerife, after moving to England five years ago. Throughout this project, I have been performing to the camera while interacting with the natural setting, immersing myself in the elements, like soil and vegetation. I felt compelled to make this project as a way of returning to a primal state by being nude and reclaiming a space in the landscape of the island, as well as letting nature conquer me. With all the rapid changes the island is currently facing, I captured these moments of intimacy with nature before I cannot longer recognize it.
